The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow
IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) Jeffrey Carter is right about Kollyfornia and Adam Corolla is wrong: Kollyfornia is incapable of changing no matter what the fires do. Some of this is the worst gerrymandering in the nation; some is the worst case of "Stockholm Syndrome" in human history. These people collectively are like Pharaoh individually: no amount of plagues or hardships will soften their hearts. They are just too proud of their baby-killing there. Meanwhile, new stories continue to roll out about the evil and incompetence of LA's Mayor, Karen ASS, and the LA Water Chief, Janisse Quinones, who knew about the fact that there was no water in the reservoir and that the hydrants were broken months ago. And 60 fire engines sent to help out were, of course, held up for inspections and aren't even on the fire line yet. This state needs to implode into a single, dog-drop-sized spooge pellet. By the way, in 2012 the gap was a 10% D lead over Rs. Today? 18% (3.2 million).
2) Not good. "Liberal Patriot" Nate Moore suggests some DemoKKKrats are seeing the writing on the wall with the illegal immigration invasion. Their problem remains not congresscritters voting but mayors of big cities remaining intransigent.
3) More than a dozen Trump appointees expect hearings this week, but not the big three, Tulsi, RFK, Jr., and Patel.
4) Count Dooku (Jack Smith) resigned from the DOINjustice. Trump's bloodhounds should be on his scent the second the clock strikes 12:01 on January 20. Pretty funny. Politico says his career ended on a footnote with Trump allies telling him to "lawyer up."
5) Good. Attorney, former DemoKKKrat, and Fox News analyst Leo Terrell got tabbed by Trump for the Civil Rights division.
6) What are "gravitic propulsion" machines? Here are 10 new breakthroughs shaping possible space travel. Not sure, but I don't think I saw the flux capacitor in there. Meanwhile President Trump said he will release the secret drone report.
7) A PBS reporter whines that people trust Trump over "us." Well, yes. Yes we do ya lyin' cocktailsippers.
8) The LA fires have spread toward Brentwood, with Cackles and many Hollywood celebs forced to evacuate. Meanwhile, ComanChe (Elizabeth Warren) has been using the fires for DemoKKKrat fundraising. The National Guard has arrived to prevent looting. In fact, a man---we'll call him "climate change"---was temporarily DETAINED for starting fires with a blowtorch but, of course, not arrested. Meanwhile the death toll has hit 24.
9) One Hollywood B-lister, Joshua Jackson, lost his $2 million Topanga Canyon home. Just for reference, folks, $2 million in Topanga Canyon is homeless-level housing. No one should lose their home. It's important, though to keep in mind that the value of housing in the entire LA area is radically inflated.
10) A very interesting sign, but designers who snubbed Melania in 2017 for inauguration day are scrambling to dress her this time around.
11) A recap of 2024, with Seth Keshel showing that his (and my) approach of using voter registrations as a predictor of outcomes was vastly better than polling. It was 85.5% accurate, and in FL, AZ, and NW was 100% accurate in predicting every single county!!
12) Trying to throw out as many land mines as possible to stop Trump, the Department of INJustice has sued a Pennsylvania city for not enough Hispanics on the city council. Now let's do "not enough conservatives," ya dickinipple cider swillers.
IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS
13) I mean, seriously, it's as though the Rutabaga cabal is placing as many bombs in this country as they can as they leave. Now they are giving out $55 million to illegals under a program called "Keeping Families Together" (as they invade your country).
14) Residents of Charleroi, Pennsylvania are planning a class action suit against the federal government for relocating thousands of Haitians in their town.
IN CULTURAL NEWS
15) In a very good survey of driving, Matthew Crawford looks at the dangers posed on human autonomy by driverless cars, by our increasing dependence on "safety" features, on the real intent of Google Maps (to sell you products) and so on. Every chapter isn't great, but the ones that are warrant reading this book.
IN TRANSOID NEWS
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
17) Even liberals like Noah Smith admit that the environmental whackoism that is dominating issuing permits and regulations has throttled growth.
18) Experts say when you factor in the intermittent costs of wind power, Trump is right that this is a loser. But you know what isn't a lose? Natural gas. The U.S. is on the verge of a massive natural gas boom. But not as in "fire."
19) The Embridge CEO says plans are already in place to expand U.S. fuel pipelines once Trump gets in and this will immediately boost capacity.
20) That great jobs report? Yeah, probably going to be revised downward.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
21) Well, well. Greenland's Prime Minister is "ready to talk" with Trump about the U.S. acquiring Greenland.
22) Another story about the collapse of the global net-zero financial/banking alliance. Gee, I think someone discussed that a year abo, here:
23) And as I also predicted in the book, America is entering an anti-woke era.
24) This does not include President Trump, but a survey of world leaders has India's Narendra Mohdi as the highest rated world leader (+54%), followed by Scheinbaum of Mexico and Milei of Argentina. Toward the bottom are Justa Turd-o (-46%), Germany's Olaf Scholz (-55%) and Macaroni (=57%).
25) The impending Trump presidency is driving Israel and the Hamas Murder Pirates to a deal.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
26) Did you know that the Rolling Stones did a commercial for . . . Rice Crispies?
27) James Wood's house was saved by a "miracle" from the fires.
28) Pretty funny. The glandgrabbing LA Slimes writer doesn't like the fact that "Landman," which is a show about oil and gas, has so much oil and gas "propaganda" in it. Suck it, chodedarter.
29) Sam Moore of "Sam and Dave" who did two classic hits, "Soul Man" and "Hold on! I'm comin!" dead at age 89.
AND FINALLY . . .
30) Thanks to an anonymous tip, a dad found his daughter, who had been missing.. She was on a boat. He called the cops but didn't wait for them, breaking in himself. We need more of this. The abductor was ready to move further south when Frank Gervasi found her.
