The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) President Trump and Vladimir Putin (Ol' Pootey-poot) have agreed to negotiate the end of the Uke War. Trump is seeking a three-way deal to denuclearize Russia and China. Reagan did this is you recall. Gorby thought he had him: Gorby proposed a 50% cut in all nukes, but with no SDI. Reagan countered:

"Well, how about 100%? Only week keep SDI." Gorby said no, Reagan literally folded his binder and left, and Gorby trotted after him yelling "Mr. President, what else could I say?" Reagan---who seldom got angry---turned and scowled at him and said, "You could have said yes" and walked off. Gorby surrendered to big cuts without SDI soon after that, and within five years the USSR was on the dustbin of history.

2) Meanwhile, in the trade wars, President Trump enacted his tariffs to offset global trade barriers. Your free lunch is over, ya slimy chuckledusters.

3) A mighty howl of liberals went up as the Senate confirmed Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was confirmed as HHS Secretary. Now only Kash Patel to go. And immediately after swearing in RFK, Jr., Trump announced a commission to "Make America Healthy Again." I hope it works and is better than some of the things we've had in the past. Start with banning Big Pharma ads. You know, where they speed read the 45 seconds of side effects that go along with the one supposedly beneficial effect?

4) The DoD paid Reuters millions for "Large Scale Social Deception." What a waste of money. We had that in Covid. DOGE is now moving to the unholy trinity of Medicaid, the IRS, and the DoD.

6) President Trump's defamation lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize board for awarding the New York Slimes and Washington Compost the prize for their Hoax News reporting of the lie, the Russia Hoax. The Pulitzer board attempted to have the case dismissed, a FL appeals court said, "Nyet." It will continue. On to discovery! Meanwhile, Trump's case against X, which then was led by Jack Dorsey, for suspending his account has been dismissed with both Trump and Elon absorbing their own legal costs.

7) Awesome. President Trump has called for the Department of (Non)Education to be closed immediately. Meanwhile, Reuters says that 75,000 gubment employees have accepted the Trump buyout offer. ABC says the administration has begun "mass layoffs." For example, the Department of Veterans Affairs cut 1000. "Hundreds" are taking the buyout offer at NASA. Well, to be fair, NASA has to rely on Elon Musk to rescue its stranded astronauts.

8) Holy Canoli. President Trump is at 42% with black men in the latest polling. Meanwhile Rasmussen says that for the first time in 20 years, a more people see the country going in the right direction than wrong direction. And Trump's approval over disapproval has reached a 10 point margin.

10) Only in the DemoKKKrat hive mind could they think their silly "judge" strategy is working. As I wrote yesterday Trump so far is winning the "judge" strategy 5:1, with two judges saying "Ok, ok, go ahead," two reversing themselves, and one headed for the Supes. Only the website decision still remains.

11) Five more DoJ offricials have resigned over the Eric the Red Adams case. Goooooood. These people don't get that we cheer when they resign. Saves us from firing their sorry tails.

12) Meta ("Meta" means death in Hebrew) can now decode thoughts. In other words, Meta knows what you are thinking. I wonder how many people are thinking, "Man, I wish Meta would go away?"

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS

14) Catholic charities received billions in grant money for harboring illegal invaders.

15) New York Governor Hock-a-Lugie thought she would breeze into D.C. and sweet-talk Trump into lifting all the illegal criminal alien decisions. Then came Pam Biondi's lawsuit against her and Letitia James . . . .

16) And basically on the same day as the President of Me-hee-co said that she didn't recognize the name the "Gulf of America," she allowed in U.S. Special Forces. The cartels are gonna get a surprise.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

17) Ryan Burge shows that young men are staying in church, while young women are leaving. This trend is true only for Protestant churches.

19) What does Rick Grenell taking over at the Kennedy Center really mean? For one thing, it removes yet another bastion of Hollywood and music, which is those desperately coveted awards.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

20) The new Energy Secretary Chris Wright says "America's war on coal ends now." Imagine that! A Department of Energy that is actually trying to create and find more energy.

21) More than 500 JOANN Fabrics stores will be closing in its second bankruptcy.

22) U.S. industrial production surged to the most since 2022, though still slightly below the "healthy" mark.

23) Lee Zeldin, the EPA administrator, found the "$20 billion in gold bars" that the evil Rutabaga administration had "parked" in an offshore account to blow on some ridiculous green scam. He got it back, folks.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

25) The eternally flakey Green Screen Zelensky has now backed out of a deal to send $500 billion in rare earth minerals to the U.S. Hey, you can send it to us, or send it to Pootie-poot.

26) The Huns whine that Europe couldn't replace US forces if Trump withdraws them. Whaaaat? You guys came within a hair of defeating the commies in 1942 without the aid of the massive Dutch and Danish armies.

27) Irena Slav has an amazing review of the Euro headlines about the collapsing "energy transition." Here are just a few: Europe's top wind-power company has slashed investment by 25%; hydrogen truck maker Nicola nears a bankrupcy filing; Hun coal generation jumped; Europe soaked up nearly all US LNG exports; and the clampdown on wood stoves is delayed.

28) Korean Air has acquired Asiana Airlines.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

29) It seems that SecDef Pete Hegseth's running buddy, Special Forces titan Scott Dalrymple (i.e., "Jack Reacher") is so popular he now has his own military ad.

30) Disney is trying to spin this open as a win: "Captain America: Brave New World" opened at $12 million. In real dollars, this is well below the last Cap movie. Meanwhile word leaked out that this movie had 21 days (!!) of re-shoots, meaning any "official" budget numbers are grossly low.

IN CHINA VIRUS NEWS

31) Kentucky becomes the 9th state to try to ban mRNA vaxxes.

34) The Louisiana Department of Health will no longer promote mass vaxxes. Score one for Bobby Kennedy and he's only been in for a day.

AND FINALLY . . . .

35) Really, really good news as the asteroid which now has a 2.3% chance of hitting earth in 2032 will strike in the unpopulated Asian desert and won't be as bad as a nuke war. Whew! What we really have to worry about is Lizzo deciding she wants to go off a titanium reinforced high dive. That could cause a tsunami.
